In macchina

Direzione da Torino A5 Autostrada per Aosta, uscita Chatillon-Saint Vincent, poi strada 46 fino a Breuil-Cervinia. Dopo aver percorso 18 km attraverso la Strada Regionale 46 della Valtournenche fino a Maen, troverai l’Hotel sulla strada principale alla Vostra sinistra.

Con il treno

La stazione ferroviaria più vicina per Maen è Chatillon, ad una distanza di circa 18 km. Dovete prendere l’autobus per Valtournenche. La fermata degli autobus è a Maen, proprio di fronte al nostro Hotel.

					  We have just come back from a fabulous 4 day break skiing at Valtournenche. The hotel Punta Cian was fabulous. It is a  family run hotel, small and not... read more too flash, eg no spa but it has all the charm of a family home. Marco will do anything he can to help and his parents are always around to assist. His mother is the chef and his dad, Guido, the Bar tender and Tina is the waitress. The food is great, not fancy minimalism but heart warming after a days skiing.

The hotel is about 1.5 km from the valtournenche lift, which connects to Cervinia and Zermatt. Lots of runs in total. We had a hire car and drove right to the lift, where there is free parking. However Marco will drop you up there whenever you want and pick you up.

They are so kind, and the family really do make you feel welcome. Go...you will not regret it. More

					  The hotel is small, has some 10 rooms. Located by the local road, no extreme slopes to reach it. Hosts are very pleasant and helpful persons. Rooms are clean, average... read more size, bathrooms (shower) quite small. Free WiFi and parking. Owners offer free mini-bus service to Valtournenche ski-lifts (~2,5 km), two rides in the morning and two in the afternoon. We didn't use it, because it was more convenient to use rented car. The food is good and very plentiful, especially dinner. For the dinner there is a choice from two first, two second courses and two options of dessert plus buffet of salads and cheese. The wine is good and inexpensive, 7,5-10 eur/0,7 ltr. Tap water is tasty and free. There is almost nothing to do around the hotel in the evenings. Valtournenche itself is 2 kms away, reachable only by car, no chance to walk, steep road with no pavement. The only bar is on the ground floor of the hotel, try Caffè alla valdostana prepared by the owner, great. Lots of various local good and inexpensive grappas. Take a book, there are only Italian and couple of French channels on TV.
